Lough Ramor
Located beside Virginia in East Cavan, Lough Ramor is a large lake of 800 hectares. The average depth in most of the fishable venues on the southern end is 2.5m. Ramor is an excellent coarse fishery and regularly produces large catches of bream, roach, roach-bream hybrids and some perch. Large pike have reestablished in the lake and many 20llbs fish are frequently recorded. Virginia, Coronagh, Knocknagartan, the Nine-Eyed Bridge and the back of the GAA football field are all notable venues at the southern end of the lake. Access at Knocknagartan is by way of private road.

The Ramparts River
The Ramparts River flows through Virginia and holds stocks of good sized bream, roach-perch and pike. Acess is via the handball alley at the northern end of Virginia.

Nadrageel / Lacken Lakes
Located to the northwest of Virginia and about 2km north of Ballyjamesduff,t he lakes cover an area of approximately 100 hectares, with depths of 6m and are separated by a heavily reeded channel. They hold good stocks of roach, rudd, hybrids, perch and pike. There are fishing stands on the lakes and the best access is from the roadside.

Cornaslieve Lough
A small lake located 3km northwest of Virginia, covering an area of less than 2 hectares, with depths of 3.5m.  Fishing is available from a small number of firm spots on the northern shoreline. The lake holds small numbers of bream, roach, hybrids and some pike. Access is across fields and parking is difficult. 

Lisgrea Lake
Located approximately 4km to the northwest of Virginia, Lisgrea covers an area of 4 hectares and has depths to 4m. There are a number of fishing stands on the southern shoreline. The lake holds excellent stock of bream, smaller stocks of roach-bream hybrids, tench and pike. The best access is from the road and there is limited parking.

Gallon Lough
Llocated approximately 6km north of Virginia and covering an area of 2 hectares with depths to 3m, the lake holds good stock of bream and roach-bream hybrids, pike, perch and roach. Access to the lake can be difficult due to a heavily reeded shoreline. 

Dargons Lake
Located beside Gallon Lough (above) Dargons Lake covers an area of 3 hectares with a maximum depth of 7m. The lake holds a fine stock of medium sized bream, roach, hybrids and pike. There are 2  fishing stands on the eastern shoreline and the northwestern corner has an open shoreline. Access is from the road at the southern end where a car park is located. 

Galloncurra Lake
Located 5km southwest of Bailieboro and covering 7 hectares with maximum depths of 3.5m. Galloncurra is a suberb fishing venue with excellent stocks of roach-bream hybrids. The lake, which holds the Irish roach-bream hybrid on a number of occasions also boasts a good stock of bream and roach. There is also good pike fishing available. There are a number of fishing stands and the best access if from the road at the western side of the lake. Parking can be difficult. 

Mullagh Lough
Mullagh Lough is located 2km west of the village of Mullagh and comprises an area of 33 hectares with a maximum depth of 9.5m. A popular pike fishing venue with bream and roach also present. The best access is from the northern and western sides of the lake. Adequate car parking available.

Bailieborough Lake
Also known as Town Lake and located west of the town of Bailieborough and covers 9 hectares. The lake is shallow and holds good stocks of pike, bream, roach, perch and some tench. Access is good on the northern and southern shorelines and car parking is  available in these areas. There are a number of fishing stands also. 

Galbolic Lough
Located 3km northwest of Bailieborough and covering 4 hectares with max depths of 6m, Galbolic holds stocks of bream, rudd, hybrids and pike. Best access is from the road on the northeastern shoreline but parking is difficult in this area.

Parkers Lake
Located 4km northwest of Bailieborough and covering 6 hectares with max depths of 6m, the lake holds a good stock of bream, as well as roach, perch and pike. It also holds roach-bream hybrids of speciman size. There are a number of stands to teh south and southwest of the lake. Access if from the road and assisted by a number of stiles.
