Park in the town of Belterbet. Walk down the main street away from the Town Hall in the Centre of the town (the Diamond). At the three-way junction, take the left towards the River and Emerald Star Marina. Pass the children’s play area. After the Marina you emerge on to the road. Turn left, going over the stone bridge and fork left. Walk along a country lane pass the Portruam Water Supply. Follow the lane up a hill, veering away from the river. Climb the top of the hill and go down a steep hill. Up another small hill and at the top take the right hand turn (2km). At the T junction, turn left on the Quivy Road and follow the lane up the hill until you reach Quivy Bridge – a stone bridge. Rest here for the fabulous views. Go over the bridge and after 500m you come to a very pretty church – Quivy Church. Walk on past, following the road up until you come to a stony path. There are wonderful views here of Killykea Lough.
Upon returning enjoy wonderful views on your left again. Go over Quivy Bridge with views of the lake again. Carry on walking down the lane until you come to Cullie Loch on your left. This is a long straight,flat, narrow county lane. You arrive at the T junction and turn right on to the main road to take you back into Belturbet. Facilities: Pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops
