From Blacklion take the N15 Sligo road. After 300m take a left at the sign for Glangevlin. Follow the road from 1km looking out for a sign on your left for the Burren Forrest. The Burren is fast becoming recognised as an archaeological area of national importance. This walk is memorable due to the heritage and cultural value of the area. The Burren is part of the proposed UNESCO Geopark extension to the current Marble Arch Caves European Geopark. In addition the walk provides excellent views of Cuilcagh Mountain, Lough McNean and on a fine day, Lough Allen in Co.Leithrim. The walk takes you through the forest past megalithic tombs and ancient field systems. Picnic tables and Map Boards are in place.
